PIONEER DDJ-ERGO-V

Hello World.
What's poppin'?
I just had an opportunity to touch the new controller by Pioneer.Of course I'm just a newbie here in DJin',yeah I have experience in commutation,Imma drummer for more than 8 years ,I got a deal in beatmaking, but sure I'm just a newbie ,so try not to judge me strictly.I'm talkin' now just about feelings you get from this controller.

So,what do we have here.DDJ-ERGO-V is a complete deviation from company's strategy .But it will make U smile, and I hope it wouldn't be sarcastic smile.Company's fault was in pricin' too big for their first DJ stuff. DDJ-ERGO-V is not a budget controller! But defenitely it cost 21 000 RUR in Russia. It is about 750 $.So, it can be suitable for newbie DJ's.

Let's see how they did that.

- Ergonomics (yeah,it's different for different dj's but for me it is)

What's bad?
- You want to add Apple logo on it
- Equalizer is not very comfortable

What do we have.
If you like how it looks and U're not Traktor fan - it's for you.If you like something more traditional you'll think it's 2 expensive

Ergo has a distinctive look. Look at the top of the controller when it's not connected, and you may find some mid-looking black dashboard with recognizable fragments of the original Pioneer's design. When the controller is connected, this effect is enhanced by red and blue light show, which makes the device looks like something from the movie "Back to the Future 2." I fully support this approach to the design work on the shell, - God knows that matte black sharp-angled controllers are everywhere now.But in this case, the general opposition to the industry is too ostentatious.Pioneer intentionally gets into the mass market with the Ergo, and this strategy looks like a necessary point is that the DJ equipment should look like amateurs think it looks, instead of moving in the direction of tradition and design something more resembling the present hardware. This creates disagreement and controversy. The idea is that the use of Ergo  can be both good and bad, you put a certain light in people who have an idea, how does usually DJ equipment look like.

I won't tell you smthn about it's "useability" buuut...As a device, such as "all in one», Ergo really has everything to conform to the concept of such devices. You are offered a channel mic / aux, outputs TRS and RCA, and two located on the front panel connectors for headphones. For the reason that the mere mixing is performed in software, there's no reason to worry about the placement of controls.Ergo is designed more for DJs, working at home parties, than for those working in the elite clubs, and that's what I like in it.
